Remanufactured vs. Compatible Cartridges: What’s the Difference?
Original OEM Cartridges
Original cartridges are manufactured by your printer manufacturer, i.e. Canon, HP or Samsung. These are the most expensive cartridges.
Our most common inks and toners are compatibles. They are made by a third party factory that produces cartridges to the spec of the original OEM cartridges. They print well and often, there is no visible print quality difference between the original OEM cartridge and the generic.
A remanufactured cartridge is also produced by a third party, but they take empty original OEM ink and toner cartridges and recycle them, replacing any worn parts and the chip before refilling them.
You won't notice any print quality difference between your original OEM cartridge and the remanufactured cartridge.
